Translucent manga

For years, I've read and re-read my Dark Horse release copies of Translucent volumes 1, 2, and 3 by the mangaka Kazuhiro Okamoto.  Only three of the 5 volumes were ever released by Dark Horse.  I send them quarterly emails asking when they might resume this title but it seems to be on permanent hiatus with them.  They used to give me a different reason every time, but lately, they just say, "It's on hiatus."  and leave it at that. 

That makes me sad because this is such a sweet manga.  Of course, I understand that it probably doesn't sell well because I like it!  That's a function of my own personal Murphy's Law corollary.  Anyway, I usually hate looking for scanlations of something that is in domestic release (can you reasonably still call a 3 year hiatus a domestic release title?), but heck, after bugging Dark Horse for 3 years now, I wouldn't mind finding a scanlation so I can finish the story.  I've "read" what I could of a raw copy I found of a couple of chapters of what I think is volume 4, but I can barely get my brain to wrap around verbal Japanese, much less written Japanese. 

Has anyone else ever seen or heard of this title before?  More to my point, does anyone know if it's ever been scanlated, or even translated into a script?

Nobody is currently scanlating it, and since it's licensed (even if it's on hiatus) the chances of someone picking it up are slim.
tbh, that manga looks like it would give me diabetes.

Is there a French equivalent to manga updates?

hmm, I absolutly don't know. Even tought I'm french and living in France, I never looked in the french aspect of scanlation as I think english is a language spreading way farther.
I'll ask a couple friend of mine and post back here if I find about it.

when I said "I tried to find it in french", I simply searched on the Fnac's website. It's a huge mutliedia store spread accross the country where you can find every manga published in french.
