As long as Piratebay is alive I'm fine :D
Piratebay is hosting torrent files only compared to megaupload which hosted the actual files..

Piratebay's torrents lets u download files from others people pcs, so even if they do shutdown: rapidshare, easyshare, etc. we can still download ilegal files.

Not everyone use fileshairing sites to download illegal file, ya know. I for once use it as a back up of all my work files and nothing more. If japanzai doesn't share its release, it's pretty much a vault of backups that they can download just in case their HD died (happened to me).

MU was the best file host out there, especially for free users where you didn't have to fill stupid catpchas, stupid deceiving ads and you also get resume. Also had the best quality connection. It's sad to see it go.

Go Anonymous, lolz, they hacked the FBI and government as retaliation against the closing of MU. Serves them right. Freaken FBI, can't stop terrorisim, can't reduce crimes or solve anything, but they can shut down one of the best things online. Mofo's deserve to die.

As long as Piratebay is alive I'm fine :D

Do note in the month or 2, PirateBay will stop hosting torrents! It's official. They don't like torrents because they require trackers which hold the IP of everyone who uses it, thus allowing bastards like the FBI to track and hunt people down. Instead, they'll be hosting magnets instead, which utilize DHT, not that you guys will prob notice it, as they have already started to include magnet links alongside all their current torrents anyways.

Doesnt make a difference to me, since utorrent works just fine with magnets :D

Don't worry, our files aren't gone... they're being "taken care of".

That, my sir, made me rage so hard. So much exaggeration on stuff that is highly unlikely to happen. How many are we right now, 7- 9 billion? 25% is around 1.5  to 2 billion people. Whelp, I think the US government will make prison country again.  See you guys there!

according to the new law that obama signed (NDAA) they dont need the court anymore
they can just send them into prison in one go or make them pay some thousands or millions of dollars

I agree that he's exaggerating, but think of it this way: while the U.S attempt to pass SOPA and PIPA, the FBI seize records of a ridiculous amount of people pirating media. Even if they don't start extraditing and arresting people outside of America (they have, but no generic users AFAIK), this is the sort of crap that will help pass such bills. Moreover, it sets a precedent for them to raid and shut down other file hosts and websites.
"We recovered records indicating that xxxxxx people were using MU for piracy, and upon tracking their IPs, these same users visited fileserve, filesonic, mediafire, rapidshare, etc..."
Something to that effect. Even if they don't shut down any of the other file sharing sites, this doesn't bode well for SOPA.

Honestly If they shut it all down eventually I think the populous would go into a riot. People who pirate things 90% of the time wouldn't have bought it anyway. After all the anime I've downloaded considering I had close to 2TB on my external before it died :/ I would have to declare bankruptcy. Then they don't get any money anyway. They would loose money  :P
