Quote from: SHOOYOBeats on June 08, 2012, 05:49:00 amOk ThanksYou're welcome. U-Prod still label it as an "active project" so you'll probably see some releases soon when they catch up with their mainstream series (or later?). I prefer the anime visuals than the manga though..

This does not however include 4-koma's as I like reading them just like that. Haven't started watching Area no Kishi yet (I watch anime per arc if I think it would take more than 30 episodes). Sports anime tend to be unprofitable these days (as far as distribution companies are concerned).
To each his own That all it is, also that true about Sports anime being unprofitable. I think it just hard show sports As a AnimeMust peoples would want to do it them self or read it to a get better understanding of it but I Dont really Know

I think it just hard show sports As a AnimeMust peoples would want to do it them self or read it to a get better understanding of it but I Dont really Know The point is, people who would be interested (and will continue to be) are those who are busy enough with their lives. I for one have a distant relative who is engaged in sports who considers himself a sports mania and tried at least seven sports in the past nine years. He makes it a past time to read all sports features in the papers. I lent him sports related short novel but he hasn't even finished it up to now and it's been more than a year and a half. Second point is, sports manga never reached its supposedly "good readers". The other point is most people who read/follow sports manga with few exceptions usually dwindles interest in between. It could be attributed to several facts - *most sports manga are "shounen" and not all people remained "shounen" forever, except for some at heart*most sports manga could not be considered a light reading especially if you're not knowledgeable about that sport, you have to exert some efforts in understanding it*the attitude towards a certain sport is different from each country - particularly attributed to difference in popularity, diverse cultural influences and the country's level of sports program itselfOn that note, we take Ookiku Furikabutte as example. It is particularly popular in Japan but when it reached NA, it didn't even enjoy a fifth of its popularity given the larger market.
