Hiatus
« on: July 13, 2012, 06:17:21 am »
I was reading through some threads and noticed talk of alot of mangas going on hiatus. Most of the treads had MangaUpdate links on them, but when i went to the sites i couldn't notice where it said the manga was on hiatus. I'm just wondering, when a manga goes into hiatus is the word actually posted or is it something thats depicted from the info posted on the site?

Also i did it just to see what would happen but i put a different color for the blood question. I'm just wondering but does anyone know the true color of blood ( without a search engine)?

The answer to the blood question is simply red. It's just an anti-spam measure, nothing that needs analyzing :P

Anyway, series don't seem to have a "hiatus" status indicated on MU, at least from what I can see.
When a series goes on hiatus it's usually published in the magazine hosting it IIRC.
Don't take the things I say too seriously. Or literally. I don't speak in absolutes.
Everything I say should be taken with a grain of salt. It'll make both of our lives easier.

I know the answer and knew it was an anti-spam measure. But considering i found this out about three months ago , someone told me blood was blue and turned red when oxygenated . but a 3sec ago google search proved them wrong. So never mind.

Some series do have a HIATUS posted on the Status in Country of Origin header (Manga-updates). It all depends on how dedicated or well-informed the fanbase is.

Some examples:

Iris Zero
Ushiro no Shindere-san
High School of the Dead

Giant publishers most of the time indicate status of their handled projects on their sites but it all comes down to the author to make the announcement. I guess a manga project goes on hiatus if the author says so (or something unprecedented happens to him or his staff) even if the publisher didn't confirm it  XD

The veins might appear blue in the naked eyes but the blood on it is not, some medical models show them as blue but they are only there for distinction purposes.

Spoiler for Hidden:

Just for everyone's knowledge (although you could just researched them), oxygenated blood's color is appears bright red while deoxygenated ones are dark red (with tinges of blue).
