You're expecting people by and large to be;

A: Smart enough to not be using mangafox & mangahere in the first place, as well as smart enough to realise when a chapter uploaded to Batoto and isn't accessible that it isn't there because of a release delay

People learn, they just need to have firsthand experience.

B: Not too lazy to go to said scanlator's site and download it there instead of just checking mangafox for it "to see if it's not glitched there" or something along those lines

People who needs it fast needs to know the actual source. I mean if you really love the series, you take note of every detail.

C: Be in a position to go downloading chapters and reading them thatway, rather than online

Google trends points that way. If the trend continues, offline manga readers will soon overtake online ones. Probably because of the new technology on the loose.... 

That's why I suggested that Batoto could seriously do with it alerting people to a new released chapter and then straight up linking them to the scanlator's site to get it there instead of the file simply not being found, in the case of a release delay.

did you suggest it there? Batoto as a site has a lot of things to improve on in my opinion.

No, I'm far too lazy for that. I'd suggest you present the idea there and take credit for it, I'm not really fussed.

As for the rest of that, the problem is that you're using yourself as a yardstick by which to measure the "average" of humanity, when in reality just the fact that you're here in the first place and visit scanlator's directly is pretty good proof that you're near the top of the scale you're trying to measure.

You missed two points there:

ONE: Blame google on that measurement, not me  I'm an avid anime fan who just happens to read manga, my priorities are different. I'm an electronic freak and as far as I am concerned - what I use as bases are almost quantitative.

TWO: Don't go suggesting things to lazy people  Presenting an idea that you say will solve a problem but will not take responsibility for it is....

One: Google's measurement is utterly irrelevant in this case, it doesn't change the fact that there are people who CANNOT download chapters, for whatever reason, and are forced to use online readers.

Two: I'm suggesting a simple, logical and reasonable solution here to a person/group with a problem. I myself have no problem with the system and personally I don't care if it's implemented or not, but, if you want a solution to your problems of getting greater volumes of people thanking you for the latest chapter and generally getting people to come here while still screwing over Mangafox and helping other, friendly groups at the same time; well there's your solution as I presented it.
Whether or not you take sound advice, is entirely up to you.

You're maybe right about that one, but it also doesn't change the fact (the numbers) that people learn in the process to be wise.

PS While it may be true for english readers, other languages' readers (french, spanish, italian, vietnamese, russian, etc.) will still prefer batoto over any other sites.
