Typesetter Application


In order to become a typesetter for XscansX and Japanzai you must complete, and pass a typesetting test.

Tools Required:
-Photoshop CS3-5 (any of those)
Please note: GIMP is not an acceptable tool for typesetting.

What fonts to use:
All of our projects use different fonts.

General instructions:
Anti-aliasing: Smooth

When you complete the test please make a thread within this section and upload your test preferably in a rar/zip file to any filehost.


How to save your work:
When saving your work go to "File->Save As" and make sure it saves as a .PSD first.
After it saves, go back to "File-> Save As" and change it from PSD to JPEG then click Save.
After clicking this a new box will appear. Set the quality to 12 or just move the slider to max and then click "OK"

Title: "Nickname - Typesetting Application"
Information to include:
Timezone
Age, or Age group (10-15, 15-17, 18+)
Time available per week
Past experience

Who approves the test:
We only have one person who approves and declines applications regarding typesetting, and that is K.F. So if it looks good to her than you will be accepted.
