Are there other ways to help you guys a little more aside dling from FS/UL? (something like adf.ly banner links, etc).

Our funding comes from the DL links and our ads on the online reader. If you want to help out, the best thing you can do is help wean others away from aggregates and spread word of what sites like MF and MH do.
If you're able to liberate even one MF Btooom! reader you'll have done plenty
(don't limit yourself to one reader though )

BTW, Mangareader.net upload your scanlation WITHOUT BLURRING OR CLEANING your watermarks. I know I like them. I know about Japanzai from Btoom release at Mangareader.net. They didn't cut or try to claim your work as their own. I like that. But, I will ALWAYS read your works from your own online reader

heyo once again just a question about the color page i scaned through all of 24-31 and didnt find any color page besides the volume pages with himiko on it, i did  however find one in chapter 23 that had a color scene of chapter 30 i believe. is that the correct one?

Impressive work. How much volumes of that series have you in store cause you will run short in volume to translate at that pace. Kind of reminds me battle royal manga but here the people don't know each other and that make the climax way more tense.. Since everyone is suspicious alliance and social based tactics seems impossible to do like in battle Royal . but in both stories the main caracter tend to be soft but skilled and try to get out passifically with the maximum people possible...

I understand more why you wartermaked and then release the clean copy .. the goal was to make magahere and mangafox work to clean / hide in vain loose time and be forced to release with a gap... I think therefor you  should go all out and watermark everything...In a bold way at least for 3 next chapter to make everyone aware. you are not the first translator group that complains about  the "manga collectors" websites and the money they do on the back of translating groups..

Japanese mainstream official editors tends to show scanlators groups as a pain to since they broadcast for free their commercial content. but truth is manga is a very productive industry in japan ... and there is thousands of stories that we (ppl outside of japan) will know about .... Thanl to scanlators groups series like naruto had a fast and massive spreading... more confidential stories like bakuman  are getting light on them because of the work of those groups ... and then  foreign editors bought the right of those "internet famous series" and then we can finally buy them in store. Manga collecting website are a part of too by collecting interesting mangas  (or manga supported by active groups) they tend to enhance the visibility of the work of those hundreds of shadow benevolant scanlator groups.

All that being said I don't find normal that those collecting website  remove scanlators credit pages from the distribution and tend to mask the fact that they are just portals or collector  and that they dont  share a part of their incomes to the scanlators they  broadcast as donatation to a benevolant cause.

I'm following manag scene since internet world wide and  well many where those issues I remember some awok around narutofan.com wich was forcing people to subscribe to get acces to the work avoialble averywhere else for free ... It seems that they changed after a hudge campaign against them and viz media attacking openly their website it seems that now they play the victims ... well that's just one glance on your every days life ...

I like japanzai's work I like aiki, btoom, sun ken rock, tsuki manga but I like alot of other actual working groups there is so many projects  that even spending time on internet searching for them unevitably you will end first on the manga collective site... now it's up to everyone to do the effort to use the collective site as a good way to get an eye uppon the actual scanlators projects and groups and then go to the scanlators website to dl/read their favorite manga directly from source...

If scanlators groups where to merge in a single collective website respecting their common rules then it would be easier for the legal right holder to make that single website disapear. This is sure fact. SO yeah to the information to exist and be accessible it has to be copyed copyed and copyed that way  erasing it is impossible and that the core essence of internet.

If manga collector sites don't respect your works then make it known watermark with informations like "this site  force you to subscribe to get free work" etc..

first watermark it, so mangafox has to do some work to pull of their scam, and right after they finished you release a clean version for us all.

the sadest part of scanlation groups relation to manga collector website. Is that when a scanlator disband for what ever reason the one keeping their work available to the public is the manga collectors website,  and then they abuse of that ...
they lower the quality to limit spent band width they remove the watermark of the legit scanlators group they remove the credit page so that the reader can't trace back to whom belongs the work so they make show those work as theirs.

They took so much that bad habbit over time to harvest scanlation community that they even tend to apply same rules to actual active project from active groups this kills slowly but surely the scanlation naroowing the effort.

Why new comers will come pick a serie and goes to the troubles of scanlating it if that in the end to allow manga collectors site to eat their meat right on their back ...

water marking and close control about your production is the only way people to know about your work. ANd to hope that this bad habbit of erasing the credits and lower credits from works of inactive and active scanlation groups will stop.

Since you are eventually releasing cleans I would watermark the crap out the the scans (like what a-team did) then wait for MF to clean them or until a week or 2 passed.  Whichever comes first.

I find your watermarks are still too "nice" (as in not very intrusive to clean).

We've now started volume 5, and we purchased volume 6, so... after we finish that the releases will probably slow down.

Next chapters are gonna be watermarked like we were doing previously, perhaps with more. Make them work for the money, then put up the clean version when they're finished with their shitty redraws, making their work null in the process. Wait period enforced and MF/MH have to actually work ^^
