hi! here's a cleaner to rate your test
first nice to meet you!!!

and secondly:
- p1: the redraws lack precision, the page would need to be leveled a bit more.
the problem with your redraws is that you use the clon tool too heavily and without enought care for the delails. We could cover some with the text but even like that we can't cover all. All the left redraw need to be redone and the middle color filling is too raw.

- p2&3: well there wasn't much of a redraw done there and just making both fits can be enought but you need to lighten the limits between the 2 page.

- p4: the leveling seems good, however you didn't went really farther than that.
removing the gutter shadow on parts supposed white is easy and gives great results, that's why it'd be good to do it on the first panel and middle panel (3rd panel), same with the 2 white space separating the panels.
the first bubble on the bottom right panel has a part needing to be redrawn, copy the simetrical part at the bottom of that same bubble and then rotate it before placing would do the trick.
don't crop out the borders...

- p5: just need to redraw the missing part of the first bubble on the bottom right panel. need a tad more tilting.
don't crop out the borders...

well, you might have understood but that's not good enought, please try again considering these observation and feel free to ask if you have more question.

Is there a blending method i should be using over my clone tooling, or perhaps i should use another tool? Also are the lines i redrew too thick/unnatural?

What exactly do you mean by "lighten the limits"?

I assume gutter shadowing on the first panel refers to the grey on the girls hair (between the white and black) and the weird shadows on the 3rd panels text bubbles? What method should i use to get rid of these?
I don't see any shadows on the 2 white spaces separating the panels, but then I'm not sure what gutter shadows are? :P

Should i just include the black outline of the border, or also include some white space on the outer edges?

the line you redraws were indeed a bit natural.
to make the clone tool fits better, you can lower the hardness of the brush if there is no pattern where you want to use it.
another trick is to see if there is not a similar looking part somewhere on the pic, if yes, then copy as a new layer that single part, then adjust it with free transform and erase the unwanted area (can also play with teh ahrdness to make it blend)
when using the clone tool, you need to keep the line regular and not click several time the same patern so close or the cloning will be obvious like in the left top part of the btooom page you did

play with the hardness of the brush/erase tool as to make the limits blend.
the clone tool or copy another similar part and position it over the limit, then erase with a wide brush and low hardness. it'll make a great blending.

the gutter shadow is the part where the page is relied to the book, when scanning a non-debinded book it'll appear. it make a blurr area with some shadows.
to remove it when it's supposed to be a white area, just use the magic selection tool with the appropriate sensibility as to not selection too much or too little, and then use the square selection tool > right click > fill white

leave all of what's supposed to be in the original page, just crop up to the point where you don't see any element exterior to the page left.

do you use IRC? it'll be easier to talk over there.
if yes : @IRCHighway #trollscans
if not: http://02.chat.mibbit.com/?server=webchat.irchighway.net&channel=%23trollscans then select a nick and "GO"
